I got the same thing on a few items I looked at.

I thought maybe they were just sold out (at least one item I had my eye on for a while is no longer listed), but now that you post this, I'm not 100% sure.

Yay! I assumed the 404s meant the close out had closed out. I just got some stuff I tried to get last night!
