I would never buy anything from Facebook the security on facebook is really really poor. 

I have payed for something on facebook and  I got a call from my bank saying some one from facebook (or what ever the reference was but it was linked to Facebook) tried to take out £500 or more out of my account twice in a row  when what I was paying for was only £10 ish.

I researched it on google and found LOADS of people have had the same fraud thing as me.

OK good to know.  We're really just trying to expand our marketing into the social media realm, and so far it seems to be working well.  Our actual store (www.shopfestool.com) is checked regularly for security and we are PCI complaint (a regulation by Festool for all online dealers) so we are secure to very strict standards.  We also do not store any customer card info ever.  The facebook store is really just a plug-in offered by our e-commerce provider, and essentially just a link to our secure checkout on our website.  It's not really hosted on Facebook.  It just looks that way.  All transactions actually post direct into our secure checkout, not via Facebook. 

Thanks for your feedback, I will keep this in mind!

I would have no problem ordering from your actual web site if I found your site through facebook but just wouldn't deal with your through facebook.  

I dont think facebook is bad idea to expand you business, I added few pictures on Facebook not so long ago and I got 3 jobs from it not long after uploading them one of the jobs has pushed me to get a CNC machine so facebook is a very good place to get more work!
