Shops in London, Cardiff

Looking for suggestions of woodworking and tool stores in London and Cardiff. I will be staying within walking distance of Earl's Court station while in London. This will be my first trip to the UK.

ETA- I'm also looking for a shop that sells Snickers or similar work trousers that have the holster type front pocket.

When I lived in London I always went to D&M tools in Twickenham, they have a good selection of tools and were friendly enough. It's not too difficult by train. There's also Toucan and ITS, they are more East London and more difficult by public transport.

I took a cab from central london to Toucan tools - nice friendly staff. Dont remember the cab charge but it was not very expensive.
