I have to say I've gotten spoiled with the quality of dust collection that I hardly look around the saw anymore to see what I have to clean up. Also, most of my work can be done in miter mode only. Yesterday I was cutting some 1x8 poplar base and when I did the outside corners, the dust collection went to near zero. I checked for obstructions, suction and to see if the hood was properly attached. All was proper, but man...dust everywhere after 6-10 cuts. Anyone have this happen?  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Do you really mean bevel mode ?

I find all saws' collection suffers when tilted over.  Especially when just kissing the end of the board.

No...I meant miter. Most of my cuts that one would normally do in bevel mode, I cut standing vertically and use the miter.  I cut a lot of stock that is less than 4 1/4" wide.
