This morning i was having a good laugh at myself .. here is why: I bought a 18x24 silicone mat from woodcraft. As most you know it comes rolled in a clear plastic case with a silicone cap. Looks lovely. This morning, i wanted to take it out from that clear plastic tube and realized that the silicone mat clings to the clear plastic tube.. and am just not able to take it out. I called woodcraft and they said twist the inner end of the roll and pull it out... duuh thats the fist thing anyone would try. Damn thing does not come out. So, how do i take the sheet out without destroying the tube?.. [big grin].

Just a guess.  Run some high-pressure warm water to see if it will release.  Or high-pressure air to get it to unravel.

A few drops of dishwashing soap will add some lubricity but will also make it harder for you to grasp and pull.

The vendor should have interleaved with some thin paper.  Then this would not be an issue.

I had the exact same problem with the same product. After I tried several times, I scratched my head about all the people who sell products that they apparently never use.
I put two fingers in there and wound the roll tighter as I pulled. Eventually got it out. If you do get it out, wrap the outside of it with a piece of parchment paper and you'll be able to use the storage tube.
If all else fails, scissors may be your only option.
Good luck!

Ha Ha.. thanks Mortiser. Good to know that i'm not alone.
Soap solution was messy.. still could not get it out. Scissors  .. may be the best option.

Thanks for taking time to reply guys. Appreciate it.

I don't know if it will work in your case, but I have had success in a similar situation by putting the stuff in a freezer for some time. It somehow made the silicone less sticky.
