Silly blade question: ts 55 blade in a ts 60?

It depends on which model of TS55. The older ones have thicker blades. This may come into play with your splinter guard.

Should be noted that both 2.2/1.6 mm and 1.8/1.2 mm Festool blades have the same cut line.

One would need the very old blades from the TS 55 (non-R) era to face that issue.

Yes, just a "be aware" note. Even then, the only casualty would be the splinter guard, which is easily replaceable.

For the rail yes. For the sacrificial block on saw for the offcut side you get the full difference.

Eh, to the contrary.

My exact point was the same cut line. The kerf-body difference for both 1.8/1.2 and the 2.2/1.6 is the same 0.3 mm hence the same cut line. I even have a heavy-duty 2.8/2.2 aluminium blade that has the same cut line too.

With zero-clearance inserts in TS or CSMS, the kerf width does matter for the cut line position. With tracksaws not so - as long as the kerf-body thickness difference is the same, the cut line is the same too.
