I just bought a new paper sustainer for my relatively new ETS 150, which I love, almost or more than my Rotex, which is simply overkill ( I've been running a Clarke super 7" edger for 29 years and while the Rotex is almost it's equal in grinding ability, I really prefer the delicacy of the ETS 150 3 for fine sanding between coats of finish and even as a second sander on big jobs after edging and drumming the floor prior to screen sanding the floor. With 80 grit it works fine on neutral finishes and likely stain if you pop the grain like i do. . .

Also the ETS is the only thing for sanding edges and puddles of water borne finish on floors,
Yea, i know, no one else ever has puddles

Anyway, back to the new sustainer and all my new paper. I realized you can carefully remove the paper grit stickers off the boxes (of sandpaper) and put then adjacent to the paper slots in the systaniner! You no longer have to guess or remember which grit is where etc, and since each box of sandpaper has multiple labels (stickers) you can label multiple sustainers or still have the info on the boxes.

I think its fun and cool, especially because the sapphire paper does not have the grit printed on the back and i have "senior" moments wondering which grit , kind of paper etc. A post for hearts of the drain bamaged  punks or other chemical warfare survivors.

Okay Ward, I know bandwidth is cheap these days but there's got to a point to your post, I just can't find it. ??? For the sake of salvaging some bandwidth how about trying it again.

Ward,

Any way you could provide a picture?  I think it might make it clearer....basically just a way of labeling the insert in the sandpaper storage systainer?

He is simply saying that he can take the sticker labels off the sandpaper boxes the sandpaper comes in when you purchase  and then can put those stickers on  the plastic inserts that hold the sandpaper in the abrasive organizing systainers. Basically just fine tuning the organization.

It is nothing more than labeling the sandpaper locations so you do not have to turn the sandpaper over to read them, as he said some sandpaper has no printing on them . I find it helps me know in an instant what sandpaper I am running low on.

I did this years ago.

I guess you may need to own the sandpaper organizing systainers to understand what he is talking about.

I had no problem understanding that post. It's about taking the stickers off the store bought sandpaper packages and then putting them on their place in the systainer. Pretty clever actually. I just wished ward stops calling them sustainers instead of systainers.  ;)

Perhaps he is paying homage to the fact that he is sustained by his systainers.  [scared]
