I have looked all over this forum and found a few references to Polyboard and Sketchlist. I have access to solidworks and ProE, but engineering software takes a lot of time to build  what the canned functions of the cabinet software output. I just want something that is reasonable in cost to make some quick plans and cut sheets to simplify my builds and be able to work quicker. Please let me know your guys thoughts!

Hey mate.

I use a site called optimalon.com. It is great to load up my cut list and it shows how many sheets and the cut layout.

It is free and has worked out great for me over the years.

Cheers. Bryan.

+1 for Optimalon - relative novice here but it's free for what I need and seems to work great.

I've heard good things about cultist but if you are a Mac person that software does not work. Or at least when I looking at it.

Thanks for the input! I should be able to port that from my cad models at the very least.  Do you know of any programs that can do the cabinet design portion as well?

I use CabinetPlanner for the design of kitchen cabinets and some others. Only problem is doing a custom cabinet, haven't quite figured that out yet. And then I put all the sizes into cultist plus for the sheet layout. That program is great. Need to figure out how to import Planner into cultist, a lot less typing then

I use Cabinet Vision and Sketch List 3D. Both have their place for me.
