I just started using Google Sketchup and Cutlist Pro... and the are both awesome. Looking back, I can't believe how much time I wasted manually laying out my cut sheets... I wish I would have known about these programs years ago!

Anyway, for those of you that have not used Sketchup yet, there are some very good video tutorials on the following web site:

Anyone else have good Sketchup resources to recommend?

Thanks for the reminder. I always forget about FWW's blog on Sketchup.
There are some good tips but make sure you are using the same version of sketchup they are using.
Also if you are using the free version of V8, Google has changed the import file capabilities. If you are using V7.x keep it on your computer as you can import CAD DWG and DXF files to use in your drawing.
As an example, all Windsor one profiles are in these file types and it's easier to import them than have to redraw them.
If you have the pro (paid) version you are good to go.

I have also included a list of resources I have found useful here: http://festoolownersgroup.com/member-projects/built-in-bookcasedesk-wmantle/

I saw this DVD while browsing Amazon:  Sketchup for Woodworkers

Haven't purchased yet but it looks promising.

Also by Robert W. Lang, so I'm sure it is promising. Robert knows so much about Sketchup as it applies to woodworkers, and he's very good at teaching what he knows.
