Small curiosity between TRC3 Manual specs and the actual charger

Was going through my instruction manual for the 120V TRC3 that was included with my Dealer's special order for a 120V charger for the 18V battery with the PSC420, and wanted to make sure I could use a 120V transformer here in Germany which uses German frequency of 50HZ only.
I discovered that I may potentially have either a new charger, or a discontinued one. The manual that came with the charger is clearly for the standard 120V Part number 495227 which is sold throughout North America as the replacement charger, but neither the Festool official, or dealer websites, nor the manual specify compatibility with 18V batteries. (They stop at 15.6V). To top it off, the 120V charger I received with the 18V PSC420 Carvex has a part number of 494924 which I have been unable to find anywhere online at any site.

The manual included states the specs as only 60Hz, but looking at the data plate on the TRC3 shows compatibility with both 50Hz and 60Hz. Not a big deal, but knowing Festool's propensity for perfectness, thought I'd point out the manual needs a slight change for this model.  (The charger works just fine on 120V 50Hz via 220V transformer stepped down to 120V by the way...). This is just a curiosity, because what I have in hand works perfectly, and I am quite happy.

One final curiosity... Though this was purchased in Germany, and the part number is not listed anywhere on the net, I find it curious that there is a label on the bottom of the charger that lists the U.S toll-free number (ending in 8600) as the contact for service or questions.  [scratch chin]  Good stuff this! [big grin]

In the UK at least, it seems the TCL 3 charger is replacing the TRC 3 charger.

My T15 Set originally shipped as the old part number (with TRC 3 charger) and I had it swapped out for the new one (with TCL 3 charger).

Perhaps there is a similar changeover in other regions and hence the discrepancy in supported batteries in the documents etc? Just a guess.

Clearly the charger plate says 50/60Hz and 18V so you'd presume they'd be supported...
