Hi everyone. I am a long time festool user/owner. Took a break from woodworking for a while. Just started cleaning up shop and going over my tools. I realized the clamp tips (plastic), that fit at the end with a dovetail groves are all disintegrating. I contacted support. Their response was to spend $20 for replacements. Really? It probably costs $1-2. They want me to pay $18+ shipping for the parts.

Any suggestions what to use to replace the tips or where to get just the plastic rubber ends?  Thank you,[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]

It might be true the part only costs $1-2 however the part needs to be package and shipped from the factory, stored in inventory, someone has to answer your call and identify the part you need, pick the part and ship it to you.  All these tasks add to the cost of the part and it is unrealistic to expect a company to absorb all these costs.

Thank you for the leather idea. That sounds like a great idea. I will give it a try. That should work.
