Been teaching myself cabinetry by building some shop storage. I started with a mitre station.
The carcass is 18mm ply built using Dadoes and rabbets off the table saw.
The top is scrap melamine benchtop edged with leftover brushbox floorboards from a neighbours Reno.
The drawers are 18mm ply mitred and dominoed with full extension soft close slides.
The doors are rail and stile using the brushbox flooring and scrap ply. The ply sits in a 6mm dado off the table saw. Used Blum hinges.
Here’s a nice tip. If you rip off the tongue and groove from hardwood flooring like this:
You are left with a perfect bead for your rail and stile doors:
Should be finished tomorrow.
