Snow storm suggestions for Uncle Bob and others in the NE

For dessert try Bartenura Moscato.  To me it falls into that really good but cheap category.  It also has a nice effervescence to it.

Thanks Dan,

Just might give it a try; though I am not much of an after dinner drink type guy - though once in a while a shot of Anisette can hit the spot. I think much depends on what type of food you have it with.

Kramer looks like he thinks poorly of your management of the weather... [poke]

Yeah, he was not at all impressed.

Leki ?

The MSRs , I am thinking those are the all one piece formed fiberglass (plastic or such) as opposed to the seperate frame and decking type?  That is one type I have not tried.  The largest modern size I have found ( and what I have) is 36" x 10" which sound big but are easily maneuverable, and give the most surface area. Although I seem to recall that Tubbs had a 40" at one point.

So how did it go?

Yes, that's them. They were recommended by a LL Bean sales person who actually new his stuff. And the fact that they were USA made tipped the scales to a purchase.

We only walked about a mile or so (wet snow 4-6") and we were fine. As expected, snowshoeing is a fairly strenuous activity. I did find my legs and back were only very mildly bothered; no issues there.
