I talked about this with Shane back in December.  I was wondering if there was going to be anything special done when we hit that milestone.  International party at Shane's?  [big grin] or Peter's and everyone brings their FOGtainers back for a reunion?  [blink]

Any ideas?

Should the 10,000th member get something special?

Ken,

And I thought I was the only one who watched that kinda stuff [big grin].

A get together with all the Fogtainer 'rents would be great.  But there would be a problem.  You couldn't come.  You didn't participate.  :'( :'( :'(

Haven't talked to Shane about this milestone.  I guess we will see...

Peter I didn't mean exclusive to the FOGtainer owners.  Just thought if you're having everyone over, it might be nice for a FOGtainer reunion as well, although you and your wife will certainly not let a single one back in the house, I'd bet.  [big grin]

Unfortunately a get together at my house probably won't be in the cards for a 10,000 member celebration.  When I ran your suggestion past my wife she started laughing - uncontrollably.  Then the tears came.  I'll take that as a no at this point, but maybe at a later date.  I'll keep working on it though.  [big grin]

I am pretty sure she is missing the Fogtainers because every time they get mentioned tears form in her eyes.  [unsure]

I can think of many reasons to celebrate the FOG, but TBH I don't see the 10,000 member mark as one of them.

Sure, it's a nice round number, but it's kinda meaningless. There are less than 1,000 members with more than 10 posts, and around 7,000 registered members who have never posted.

Sorry to be a party pooper!

Next January will be the 5th anniversary of the FOG, and that (to me at least) seems more relevant for a celebration.

As, perhaps, the second member here (and certainly within the first dozen), I agree with Jonny, that 10,000 doesn't mean much.  To me, it's active contributing members that matter.  Now having almsot 1,000 of those is something to celebrtate.
