So what do you listen to when your in the shop?

I am not into Country, but my wife won a couple of tickets to a 'meet and greet' with Kristian Bush who has written all of the songs for Sugarland.

He has a new single being released on the 28th that deals with the fact that 'you can't take it with you'. I chuckled and enjoyed it, and you might as well. It's called 'Never seen a hearse with a trailer hitch'.

I'm generally On-Site, so headphones are a must! I wear the Apple silicone ear buds due to their sound-isolating properties.

I generally agree and am certainly not a country fan. But this he has his roots in rock, and you can tell it...

Hmm, mostly channel 44-45, something with a good beat, hip hop.  Although I do listen to country if the GF requests.

Festools in use! [big grin]

But also Australian Broadcasting Commision Talk Back Radio or Local FM station.

Power tool motors, cutting noises, me wondering out loud where I sat that pencil I seem to spend half my time (non-consecutively) searching for.

Great stuff, never heard of him before...sometimes you just need some boogie woogie!

Spotify, $10/mo and can stream in the vehicle or anywhere, without ads.

There's also a free version.

I like their "radio" feature which let's you pick a song or artist and then it will create a playlist of similar music.

Also, all of the usual features.

It's hard to listen without tapping your toe.

I guess it's not all that popular these days. Someone broke into my car a few nights ago, one of things they took was a thumb drive full of boogie woogie. Cop told me that once they listened to it they might return it.  [big grin]

Never heard of them, so thanks for posting!

Streaming Pandora from the iPhone, the ads are all visual (on the screen) which I never look at...so no hassle. Being perpetually broke after discovering this site, $10 a month ain't gonna happen for me! In two years that's the price of another sander!

Funny cop, good luck getting back your items

I def gotta catch up and hear some of these artist.

Like I said, there's a free version of Spotify as well that has intermittent ads.

Another I like is that you can synch your playlists for offline listening. So, when I travel, I can listen to it on a plane without an internet connection.

KDRP
Our newest listener supported radio. It appears to lean toward the bands that Willie likes and they're largely solar powered.

KUT
Our original listener sponsored radio that is all news now
or
KUTX
A spinoff of KUT, strictly for music
KUT, until recently, was part-time NPR, BBC, etc. and part-time music. It recently split into two stations - KUT, (which is all news), and KUTX, (which is all music). I suspect they did that to compete with KDRP (above) for listener contributions. The split happened about the same time KDRP came on line.

KGSR
A very good commercial station.

With radio this good, we rarely listen to anything else...
