So... what's new for 2014?

Shane must love these questions, he gets to pull all of his best material/comebacks out of his sys toolbox.  I was hoping for the portable printing press that comes in a sys5 that you could print some green, to spend on green!

Sorry,  I drank PDQ instead of Ovaltine.  It went the way of 8 tracks and cassette tapes.

A colleague and myself pulled a series of renderings that a FOG member did a couple of years back of his idea for a portable planer in a Systainer. We acted like it was top secret and passed it around to some people in the office. Then accused one of them of "leaking" the info to someone else. We got Christian in on it and had him get them all nervous until we told them it was all a prank. Pretty entertaining.

Sure would like to see a 'regular' angle base for the Carvex that connects to the circle cutter with dust extraction...dare to dream

Shane, there's a perfect smiley for you here [bite tongue]

I went to purchase a CTL26 and was told that it might be worthwhile holding off for a short while as a revised version was coming out.

Although not impossible, it's unlikely that a dealer in the UK would be aware of an impending product change before I would. And, I have seen nor heard anything about a change to the CT 26.

He said the revisions were so that T-Loc sustainers could be attached and although he could be misinformed he did talk me out of a CTL26.

Kevin, I do believe he was misinformed. The T-LOC does work with the current Sys-Dock on the CT 26. I doubt there will be an actual T-LOC handle incorporated into the CT 26 because it's form factor. The T-LOC handle would have to recess into the hose garage. The same would be true for the CT 36 and 48.

However... There were recent updates to the CT MINI/MIDI that incorporated T-LOC. Maybe that's what he was thinking about.

For what it's worth, I've not seen anything from Germany about such an update for the larger units.

You could be right so I've decided to go ahead and order the CTL26. If Festool do update it then the price will jump considerably too just as it did with the Midi:-)
