Like many I own a 6 inch jointer which I want to upgrade. Again like many, I wish I had bought the 8 inch jointer originally.
As I look around I realized that almost all 10 inch jointers are jointer/planer combination machines. From an 8 inch jointer the next jump appears to really be a 12 inch jointer (which is a pretty big jump).
Just wondering does anyone know why that is? It would seem like a 10 inch jointer would have some appeal from a cost perspective
