Well, first off there is so much truth in that I could not laugh... 2009 nearly broke me. That being said I think any form of self-employment is tough, we just have to do it with our hands.

As far as Kreg goes, he's on his second lease on life and has posted as much. Second a lot seems to roll off his back but a couple of his posts on JLC he has taken quite the thrashing and he still stays positive and does not flame back. He's a sales-man hands out cards/ and beadboard everywhere. He's Marketed himself. For his books I think if we could get a peek at Highland Hardware's books we would know how well he's done...
 
I'm an IT trainer, working for a company. To be self employed would be much harder, and I have respect for anyone that tries to make it work. I've had family and friends that say I should WW for a living, like the guy in the video says, they can love your work, but selling it for what it's worth in a walmart world is a different matter.
