Having abused my knees in my youth and arthritis in my older age I haven't been able to kneel on hard surfaces in years. If I have low work I have to find a short stool or something soft to kneel on. I bought some of these a couple of months ago and they are worth it at twice the price.

I happen to have two pair of older Carhartt double knee logger jeans that I decided to use as my shop pants so this worked out perfectly. You forget that the pads are there until you kneel down on something hard and then you just say, aaaaahhhhh.

The guys who makes them is a real American entrepreneur. He has other products and I will probably end up with a couple of his mats.

If you have bad knees or do a lot of flooring work get these now. Your knees will thank you.  [thumbs up]

Soft Knees No-strap knee pads

Sorry to hear about the problems. I have abused my knees at times but if one is not abusing them on a regular basis they can recover.

A warning to all to use some sort of knee protection.

Nothing catches your attention like kneeling on a sheet rock screw.

here's another thread with some additional options, gotta protect those knees (says the guy who didn't for too long [embarassed])

In the name of science I tested kneeling on a sheet rock screw. I could tell it was there but it didn't make me roll around on the floor crying like doing it without padding.  [scared]
