Sorry to be off topic,

David,

Whenever I read about the wildfires in AZ I wondered.  I hope that you escaped un-scathed.  I also hope to see more posts from you.  I have read and re read many of yours.

Peter

Fortunately there were no wildfires where we were (this year).  We have three close friends that were evacuated during the fires earlier this year, but nobody we know lost their home.  The news reports tend to focus on the spectacular aspects, which is misleading.

I was also thinking of selling my CDD12 FX, but i might just buy some new batteries because I really love this drill. Maybe if i get to try out a C15 again i might change my mind.

Hey Wayne,

Buy my drill kit for $200 and get two like new batteries for your drill that would cost $125 each from Festool - that's $250 worth of batteries.  The rest of the kit is free!  [big grin]

Thanks for the offer david but Im in South Africa, so I always miss out on the good deals in the classified's. I did buy a CXS to replace my old CDD but i find it a bit under powered to do all the same jobs, and the chuck can't take more then 8mm bits.

You can put the standard chuck on the CXS.  It's the Centrotec interface.

I know you can but try putting a 10mm bit in aswell, the front then becomes to heavy and the drill falls over. I think I might get the C15 next year to balance out my drills again.
