There's a new battery charger that handles multi volts 12-18, and all chemistries (lithium, Nicd's and Nimh's), the hand sanding block set comes in a mini t-loc now, the Promo jigsaw Blade pack is back with the new Carvex blades in it (model no M0122), the EHL 65 is disco'd and the weekend starts tomorrow.

That's a very slick and cool new charger!  Nice to have one that will handle all (apart from the CXS...).

The old charger TRC 3 also did all sorts of batteries (NiCd, NiMH, Li-Ion) from 10,8-12-14,4-15,6-18V.
So nothing new here only a smaller footprint and a cable winder around the charger.
Only not meant for the CXS.

Interesting about the EHL65, it is still listed on German site. This could mean NLAINA (No longer AINA)!

Also I noticed all the Protool were now green including the grinders.

Could be that they are getting ready for the "plug-it" version...

Scot

After a second look at the EL65 on the Festool German website, I think you are correct  Scot.

On the Festool USA site it says that EHL 65 has been discontinued with no replacement.

Wow...I love my EHL65. Does this mean I have to buy up a gazillion blades before they vanish?

It is still listed on Australian site, and with fixed lead.

It would be a great shame for you in Nth America for this versatile plane to become NAINA.

I doubt it, Festool will likely make parts available for years to come.

We will not be getting the EHL 65 EQ. Parts will remain available for the EHL fir a minimum of 7 more years.

On European Festool websites they now even mention a 10-year spare part availability , so we can enjoy our tools for a long time to come.

So does that mean our only option will be the 850 or is there something else in the works?

Some other news... The TS 55 recall is now official and can be seen on the CPSC website. Seems it may be sometime until this "hero" tool is back in action :(
