Could someone tell what is the deference between those two models ?
TS 55 RQ-PLUS
TS 55 REBQ-Plus

Do both of them have this feature,

Idling speed with electronics  2,000–5,200 rpm.

Idling speed without electronics,  6,300 rpm

thanks in advance :)

Our Euporean members may be able to offer some insight, but...

The "E" is for electronics and the "B" for brake. So, the RQ would not have electronics.

I much appreciate your prompt reply Shane,  thank you.
Looks like the TS55 REBQ-PLUS is gonna be my first fes fantastic tool :)

One more question,  if I buy the tool from Germany will I have support in Norway by the local festool distributor  [embarassed]

I'm not familiar with the policies in Norway or Germany. I would recommend that you contact Festool Germany for an answer to that question. You can reach them on festool.com (international site) or if you read German on festool.de.

As Shane mentioned the TS 55 RQ-PLUS will have no electronic protection or brake, it's not interesting at all especially for the TS55 and almost nobody has these in stock any way!
And your local dealer is obliged to offer you service, he probably won't be happy with you buying elsewhere but that is another affair.
My local dealer will take tools under warranty for service if you purchased them there, that is for all the power tool brands except Festool where he would get in trouble if he refused.

RQ model:
1050 W
6500 min-1

REBQ model:
1200 W
2000 - 5200 min-1
With MMC Electronics

That's the difference. All other features are the same for both models.

The REBQ is 240v . The REQ is 110v and doesnt have the brake on the blade

In some countries you can even buy TS 55 EBQ with same specs as REBQ with only difference that REBQ is new model since april 2012.
As far as I know EBQ is also 240V for European market.
