On items like bit sets, are NA dealers actively prevented from ordering them, or is it just not easy. I understand blocking anything that requires regulatory approvals, but could they order the other stuff?

The real answer should come from Festool, but that might go against their policy about not discussing dealer agreements in public or on the internet.

Festool should FULL embrace the Systainer storage solution by selling ALL the accessories.  There are a lot of cool things that I would like to get here.

what're you looking for?  if I may ask.  K-119's now a Tanos Dealer, extending our Systainer lineup by quite a bit :)

Alot of the NAINA stuff is not available to US dealers because the SKUs don't exist in Festool USA's catalog altogether.  That said, it's still worthwhile for us dealers to poke around by trial and error to see if we can catch items which have been physically brought in to the US, but not promoted yet.  I was very lucky to learn about the Fusion-TEC pads via Festool Shanghai, prior to Festool USA's recent launch.  Came back to San Francisco and inquired on them to discover that I could order them, so I've had them for about a year before official release :)

If you'd like, I would gladly try out your SKUs in question to see if they are available.

Phillip:

I see that you have colored handles and latches, but will you be stocking (or even special ordering) colored Systainers? For instance, I might eventually be interested in:

• Orange - for the Fein SuperCut

• Carmine Red for my Milwaukee M12 drivers (I know that there are currently no 'fitted' inserts available, so I would roll my own). Come to think of it, could you get just the Carmine Red lid(s) that I could put on an anthracite Systainer? That would look even more like the new Milwaukee Fuel cases!

• Saphire Blue with Festool green latches - just because!

I've definitely thought about Orange, precisely for Fein products which we also carry.  I haven't thought of, but really do like the idea of Red Lid + Anthracite combo for Milwaukee.  Tanos does have a "universal" insert for drills that I've thought about bringing in to check out to see what fits and what doesn't.  K-119 is (readas: I am) still climbing the learning curve in the universe of Tanos, so please bear (bare?) with me as I figure out what items to stock.

All of your inquiries are hugely helpful!  Do please post up your wishlist items and I'll see what I can put together!

Short answer -- yes.  [laughing]

I would love to get some sapphire blue systainers with Festool green T latches and lid storage. I would also like a Fein systainer with lid storage. I know you could sell a lot of these. The router bit sets and ratchet sets would sell very well also.

+1. For the Fein systainer with insert.  I would buy one!

I do have the SYS-2 for Multimaster, in Anthracite, in stock

But yea, I'm quite certain you mean in the Orange  ;)

How about a SYS-2 for MM or SC in Anthracite with lid storage and an orange T-loc latch?

I can do the other way around w/ Anthracite SYS-2 + Orange T-Loc right now...  ::)

In short, Tanos USA currently only carries Anthracite, with sprinkles of Light Grey Systainers.  Colored Systainers are available from Tanos DE, but the lead-time is in the neighborhood of 60-days.  Once I get more fluid with the Tanos system I'll probably start putting together group-buys here on the FOG.

That said, my initial thought was that an entire Systainer in [any color] would be too "loud", thus have opted to only stocking the colored T-Loc Catches, which I do think look really good.

I have inbound shipment for SYS-2 w/ Lid-Sort Tray in Anthracite due this week.  We can add-on the FMM Insert + Orange T-Loc.  I'll PM you once my shipment arrives :)

I would be interested in this as well.  Do you have a price yet?

i was too lazy to go to the shop and take a picture of any of Milwaukee Fuel stuff, but here's an example:

I think that a Carmine Red lid on an Anthrocite Sys-box would be perfect! If you need somebody to test it for you, just let me know?

;D

I need to do a physical check in the morning (warehouse already locked up), but I'm about 90% sure this is right --

$80 - SYS-2 T-Loc w/ Lid-Sort Tray
$11 - Insert SYS-2 T-Loc for FMM
$6 - Insert, SYS-1-5, Lid Sponge Honeycomb
$6 - Insert, SYS-1-5, Bottom Sponge
$8.50 - T-Loc Catch, Orange

Brings us to $111.50 -- SYS-2 FMM w/ Lid-Sort Tray + Orange T-Loc Catch

*one caveat is the April 1st price increase... though only affecting the Lid and Bottom insert, which I really doubt would exceed +/- $5

lol... I'm also kinda lazy to go to my warehouse to take pictures of... oh... milwaukee/makita/bosch/panasonic/dewalt stuff ::)

but indeed if we do require additional field testing, I'll know who to call.  *fistbump
