A friend's wife is opening a new business and they brought a car load of Ikea back to the new office for assembly today.  They asked me to come by with some tools, so I packed up one sys 3 with a bunch of misc stuff that I thought would come in handy, the centrotec installers set and the CXS set.  Even his wife was admiring the tidy boxes of tools.  No matter what we needed, I would stop, reach down into one of the boxes and come up with something (even the countersink came in handy for reaming some crud around a few holes).  Everything was coming along great, and at some point he grew to trust the CXS clutch and stopped hand tightening the screws, *zip* *zip* *zip*.  At one point he puts down the CXS and asks for a screwdriver...I ask why.  There isn't enough room in the shallow drawer for the CXS to run the screw!  I walk over to the systainer and grab the 90 degree chuck. He watches as I pull apart the CXS and back together with the 90 degree and hand it back to him.  He runs the screws for the slides, looks up and has the goofy grin on his face.  You know the one..."I have to have one of these!".

My work is done!  [big grin]

Did you tell him the price? [big grin] .....or just smile and walk away [cool]

My wife has always been an advocate for my Festool habit.  She seems to enjoy the things I make with the tools.  But reading in this post that his friends wife liked the neat kit boxes sounds like my wife.  I think they had her at "Systainer"!!

Nahhhh...there will have to be a few more demos before we get into that.  :). I know they are going to need shelving and some other odds and ends.  One of the jobs is bound to call for a jigsaw or tracksaw and the mini.  I'm expecting he will need to pick his jaw up off the ground, much the same way I did the first time I used the tracksaw.  :).  Their new house should be done in Dec or Jan, then he'll finally be able to contemplate shop space and the requisite tools.  So this will be a deliberate slow green bite!  :)
