Someone might find this of Interest - Tool Auction

Rarely do I come across on a tool auction in my area.  This company was started by someone who I first met when he was a bricklayer who drank beer at 6:00AM back in 1983.  He evolved and ended up starting more than 40 companies - all involved with or around residential home construction.  Unfortunately his cabinet company did not make it and their inventory and tools are being auctioned.  There is only one Festool in the auctions that I can see, but someone might find other stuff that they are interested in.  If not, oops.

Peter.  This had to be a heck of a setup. The inventory that's up for auction is huge. Some had some interest for me but geographically it is not in the cards.
But again what a setup

Sal,

When they were booming they were going thru 2 to 3 trailers of wood per week.  Strangely they used a lot of lyptus, including plywood.  Also strangely was that they survived the economic downturn until late 2012.  They also had 4 showrooms with designers in each.

Granted, this was tiny in comparison to the mass producing cabinet companies, but it was large for a local company.

I found the Festool - it's a domino (of course): Festool 574307.  Lot #572 with a current bid of $150.  Looks ridden hard and put away dusty.
