I am sure that many readers here have watched various shows on the Discovery Channel and have either seen or heard Mike Rowe.  Perhaps some have even listened to his podcasts.  Perhaps even fewer know that he and the This Old House Foundation are working on things centered on increasing interest in kids to become interested in the construction trades here in the US.

Mike Rowe's podcast 'The way I heard it' is also excellent.  Typically a 7-10 minute look back in history at fascinating people who he does not reveal until the end.  Really holds your attention.
