Want to double check and make sure the drawers don't come out if you don't want them to. Like hitting a bump in the road or it gets tilted.

Does this have to be the top of the stack or can you still stack things on top and lock em in place.

Thanks

You have to operate the green handles to "unlatch" the drawer, so they won't open if you don't want them to.

It can be anywhere in a stack and still operate perfectly.

They positively lock close.  They have stops in the back, so if you unlatch them, they won't fall out; but it is a simple matter to depress a tab on each side to totally remove the drawer which is nice to mix and match.

I find these to be much better than the earlier models of Sortainers.  The drawers are deeper so perhaps not suitable for small things like bits and punches but much more versatile for medium size tools and can be used with various boxes (Tanos/Festool and other) as well as dividers for fasteners and similar.  The drawers are much less prone to jamming when contents shift during movement of the container.
