Sources of hardwood:Where do YOU get your boards?

Besides buying from Hearne Hardwoods, I recently bought from Hearne's ex partner, Groff & Groff Lumber 858 Scotland Rd. Quarryville, PA 17566.  Their number is 800-342-0001 or 717-284-0001.  The owner has a "different" personality, kind of what I'd expect for the area,  but very good dealing with them and they have a better type of planer (helical) for eliminating tearout should you have them mill your stuff.

They're not far from Lancaster.  Amish buggies everywhere.

Prices comparable to Hearne.  Also, Hearne has a lot of modern machinery for milling and they sell and use Festool there.

On some of the Hearne product pages, you can see the wood samples are sitting on an MFT  [big grin]

I have a mill shop around the corner to get a few species at quickly.

There is a huge yard with giant kilns that has almost every hardwood about 25 minutes from my house.
Darcy,

Just wondering who you are referring to as I am in the area?

Thanks,

Tom

Sorry about the delay.

I use Wible's in South Milford when I need quantity of SP ROE.

When I need a handful of RS I go around the corner to RP Wakefield's here in Auburn.  Also called Auburn Hardwood Mouldings.
