I was browsing Woodcraft's wood room and saw a small piece of wood that caught my eye. The wood was very light gray with dramatic black streaks running through it.
I intend to make a couple of small boxes with the wood using ebony as accent/edges. I like to have a layer of Spanish cedar for the inside of my boxes. So, the outside will be the Tamerind and the inside will be the Spanish cedar.
I've never seen this wood and would appreciate advice on how to finish if.
I want a very soft sheen finish. I do not have spray equipment.
