Spare Parts

I have one of the original CXS drill kits that is complete. In great shape. Batteries hold a charge. Chucks work great.

About to post on Classifieds. I'm willing to let it go. Make me an offer!

Yeah, a combo of Windows 98 SE and Windows Vista running on 1GB RAM + 5400 rpm laptop HDD.

In Europe it is common to find discontinued old stock selling even 2-3 years after the discontinuance. Especially for stuff that is being banned.
A lot of things are completely gone in the same year!?

There are some places selling at 50% markup... they might have stuff left over, maybe. But they don't sell much in general.

You might be surprised at prices.

Just a few weeks ago via FB, I almost bought one for $125 from a guy who barely used his CXS.

However due to age, I did not want to acquire the L-shaped batteries.

Yeah, I did not mean to indicate the discontinued stuff sells a lot - just that there are outlets who proactively stock-up with the firm plan to upsell with a mark-up.

As a result the prices rarely go down after stuff is discontinued without replacement - they go up as with any scarce item.

From what I gather, the US does not experience this /with Festool/. Stuff just 'disappears'.

There are newer batteries that fit the OG CXS TXS. NOT L-shaped… Article number 500184. Costs around € 80 in Germany.

I have 4 or 5 of the CXS drills with the L shaped batteries, bought them when they were first introduces. The batteries are still going strong. The drills accept the flat style battery that comes with the newer drills.

The drills are used all day in a shop environment.
