Shane, what site is that episodes on ?  I would like to have a look.

They haven't posted Episode 2 yet, but full episodes look like they will appear on their YouTube Channel since Episode 1 is there.

I admire Jory's woodworking but Ellen's show is soooooo much better.  They focus more on the design and build process rather than snarky infighting.  I even saw competitors helping each other.  Refreshing!

Shane,
Thanks for posting the link to the youtube channel for Ellen's show.  Unfortunately, when I play it, the actual video box for the show shows up as a small part of the overall screen and there appears to be no way to change it.  Has anyone else experienced this or am I doing something wrong?  Is there another source for the show?

Thanks, Mike A.

You can expand the video box by clicking the symbol at the lower right corner of the YouTube frame. The video will still be smaller than its wrapper, but will fill more of your screen. Easier to watch for sure!

Cheers,

Frank

I recorded Ellen's show on DVR, and either the show went long or something else happened, but the ending was cut off.  I don't want to spoil the ending for others, but could someone PM me who was eliminated this week?

Thanks Bryan

Frank, Thanks for answering.  I tried that and it works to fill the screen, but there is still some stuff around it with the video in a smaller box.  It's not like any other video I've seen where the video itself fills the screen when you expand it.  It's the same on both the computer and TV.

The only thing I can figure is it must be something in the way they edited the video like Shane says.

Just watched it & yea, it was good but i prefer Framework.  I can understand Jorys decision not to do this show.  He is an immensely talented designer & builder.  I don't think any of those carpenters could build a piece anywhere close to the quality Jory can.  Remember, there is a huge difference between a carpenter & a furniture maker !

Right, wheres episode 2  ;D

Just a reminder.  Tonight.  10:00PM EST.

Team Jory get ready!

Peter

If you Tweet, some good chatter among Spike, Common, Brandon Gore, Jory and others about the show.

that was a good epi, the builders faces talking crap to each other was great times lol. i was hoping the girl would lose. this was more in your face hardcore pace vs ellens show.

After your epic journey to manage to watch it, Spike TV seem to have locked it out now. Asked me to login with my TV provider's details to "unlock" the episode.

Tried the username 'BBC World Service' and password 'I believe we give this to the World for next to nothing and have done for years, cheers for that'. But that didn't work.

Wuffles and Woodguy,

PM sent to both of you right now.

Your undying appreciation should be shouted to the heavens!!  [tongue]

Cheers,

Frank

Perhaps I will be in the minority, but I think that the judging of the latest competition was a bit unfair.  It would be totally unrealistic to expect that anyone could come up with anything more than a mock up of a design idea for a bed in that allotted time.  Let alone a prototype.  Let's not even talk about a finished product.  Or two.  With instructions.  None of the judges could or would do it.  I do realize that reality in reality tv is different than reality in real life.

Would love to see at the end of series there be an all star competition between the top three finishers as a team and the three judges as a team.  Make a piece, post it on Facebook and ask the public to vote.

Peter

What fun would it be if the competition wasn't challenging, if not near impossible? I think it's good to see them have to think outside of their normal parameters and comfort zone. Working with others, crazy deadlines, etc. It separates the mediocre from the superstars.

I did say that I might be in the minority  [poke] [thumbs up].

Looking forward to the next episode!  [popcorn]
