Has anyone spend some time with the Graco Merkur ES spray system?
It has been recomended to me as a stain/ sealer setup for the spraybooth and onsite.

Mike

Mike,

I have not, yet. It is on my list of things to do this year. My understanding (from Graco) is that it is on par with the Kremlin airmix pumps and guns, which are sorta kinda to die for good. I have heard good things about Merkur.

Hi Mike,

We've been using the Graco Merkur in our workshop for the last two weeks. Were spraying water based coatings on external joinery, the results are outstanding.

I'm completly new to spraying and the other lad has only ever used HVLP. So its been a revelation to both of us.

I'll try and post some pictures later.

Regards,

Dan.

Bringing back a Merkur thread...

What is the difference between the 15:1 and 30:1 type ratios?

I'm spraying water based only, clears and colors.

Pressure in to pressure out.

At 100 psi in a 15 would be 1500 psi out, 100 psi in on a 30 would be 3000 psi out.

Check the specs for the products that you’re using. Get the unit that handles them all.
