Square Drive Bits

Will (or are) the square drive bits included in the Centrotec Installer's Set be available for sale as individual items or as a square drive set?

I have the set manufactured by Atlas Machine in Canada, very nice bits.

I believe they are a dealer on FOG.

If these bits had a tip in the shape of a cross or an "X", would they be called "cross" bits, or would they be called Phillips?

Why not call "square" tipped bits by their name, (ie. Robertson)?

Alec,

Although both have square shapes, the actual shape of the driver and recess is different with each.  All Robertson bits could be accurately described as having a square drive, but all square drive bits cannot be accurately called Roberson.

For anyone interested in learning more about screws and screwdrivers, I'd recommend the book One Good Turn by Witold Rybczynski.

I've always been a big fan of Apex bits, they're manufactured in the US. The steel they use is a lot tougher than the average bit so the life is 2-3 times the average life of a normal bit.

The only bad thing is that they are not Centrotec compatible. [sad] [sad]
