Starbucks stopped selling brewed coffee

Here is an article about this new brewing method.

The coffee yielded had a murky appearance and a silty-impression on my tongue.  It was also very bitter at the rear of the tongue.

The innovative full-immersion brewing method pairs vacuum-press technology with precise control over water temperature to extract the best flavor from each roast. The fine mesh metal filter eliminates the use of paper filters and produces a clean cup of coffee.

My guess is that part of the problem is that the metal filter is not as fine as the paper filters are.  That might not explain all the differences, however.

I predict that at some time in the future, Starbucks will change their coffee from 100% arabica, to 90% arabica.  Or maybe less.  The balance being robusta beans.

The label will change from “100% arabica” to “An arabica coffee lovers blend.”  (Or something equally ambiguous.)https://designawards.core77.com/Commercial-Equipment/114757/Clover-Vertica#
