I recently purchased a RO 125 used, about a year old that was checked out by Festool to be fine, but I am having a little trouble turning it off after use.  Turning it on is no problem, but when I turn it off I need to press it up and to the right several times to get the switch to come back down and off.  Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to "fix" this switch?

thanks,
Rob

I initially stated that it was a Domino.  My mistake.  It's the sander!

Sorry.

I'm not a Festool dealer nor a Festool representative so take my comment as such -- Give the switch a blast or two with compressed air then spray a little WD-40 under the switch & turn it on and off several times while unplugged.  The switch is no doubt sealed so my "cure" will only help if it's sawdust is packed in the wrong place.

FYI

WD40 is not a lubricant...not sure if that's what your after.  (It can clean, but will not lubricate for long).

If you are looking for a lubricant, look for machine grease (they do sell this at local big box stores)...

why not just call Festool service?

you could try blowing with an air line but gently, grease and sawdust not a good idea

my ro 150 is doing the same thing. you have to really push down hard to turn it off. i was sanding filler before so the dust must have gotten in somehow
