If anyone wondered how a ping pong table would work as a cutting table, wonder no more.
It is cut down to 42" wide and 90" long, had to do a bit of x-bracing and upgrade the wheels, its solid as a rock, and very easy to fold up,once you get all the crap of it.This is my first post attaching pics, here goes...

That poor ping pong, er, table tennis, table... [crying]

Good use of what you had around but,  [crying]

I think this is a great solution, particularly as you seem to have so much room to work and spread out...any more pics of your workspace?

The avatar is quite remarkable. Me, I'd like to see Brice try something like that instead of his current one...maybe walking away from the fire with a festool in his hand  [eek]

Dont forget the wooden shoes, and spedo's  [eek],Thought i might have to pull the Avitar, dont want to cause nightmares. That pic always makes me laugh, how in the heck did it get to that....
Uk ,hmm, I hear we are blessed with square footage. My Garage is 28x28,but it still can get out of controll, like right now.I still always try to stay compact.I would be embarassed to post pics right now,I just got 36 ballbearing slides to use on a new bench and cabinet storage project.I will get organized if it kills me.Ohhh those images of the clean ,minimal festool euro shops  ;D .Ill post soon.

This thread inspired me to dig my ping pong table out last night (good thing I had 3 friends over because it was buried).

I have 1400 sq/ft of space but usually only manage to keep about 10 of it clean. [embarassed]

Anyways, we played about 4 hours of doubles last night.

Then there is the  Joola Atlanta Olympic competition  ,in blue...  :o OOOhhh , AHHH

Those are spendy tables right there.

I think my Stiga table was very similar to yours.

It might not be a bad idea for some guys here to find a cheap used one for this purpose.

Your right,$1600 -1800 ish maybe,That stiga was given to me,and they can be had cheap, and do need some reinforcement to really be sturdy enough.Oh but to dream, I can picture that joola with some mft extrusions for a rail hinge, and a fence ... [tongue] Work with what you got !!
