Hi,
Just wanted to share a well functioning solution for using styrofoam on Festool STM 1800.
You in other parts of the world may have easy access to styrofoam in large sheets.
In my part of the world these are limited, (impossible?) to find.
However, there’s the Sturofoam that is used for ground and roof insulation. These come in packs (usually 8 pcs) measuring 585x1185mm and most of them are with shiplap ends 360°.
These comes in thicknesses from 30mm, 50mm to 70 and 100mm. Some are in between too.
Here I have used 2 taping them together to form a hinge on the long sides. It easily packs to a manageable 1200mm x 600mm x 100mm folded. Mine in the pick are 50mm thick.
This thickness makes for a very useful cutting surface as well as work surface.
It’s incredibly strong and stiff.
