Stolen Festool

I am really sorry to hear this. I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I see anything.

Cliff

Thanks everyone,

Phil, thank you. Sent you an email.

I'm sure that sys radio will turn up somewhere as I think there were only 3 ever made. Chime in JRB if that's not right. So that'll be the one that'll get them. Even then tho it's doubtful :(

Thanks again everyone.

I used to like it back in the day when nobody had heard of festool, the low life would focus on the yellow or blue stuff. I guess now festool is more popular they know it's worth a premium and are looking out for it  [sad]

Here, they walk up and down the street looking for choice targets and then they come back at night hitting the autos they had scoped out as being prime that day. Often they will come down the street looking like a "family" out for a stroll and it is often the lady of the pair of adults that is actually doing the casing......the criminal family at work. I often wonder what the child thinks big sister or mommy is doing.

Everyone's worst nightmare, truly gutted for you mate.
Good luck, chin up! All the way ftom Canada's west coast.
SCUM!!!! Ooh! the more I consider it the more my blood boils!!

As we say over here, THAT SUCKS!!!

I hope they catch the scumbags and get your tools back for you. Or that you get new replacements quickly - whichever you'd prefer.

Sorry to here your news [member=11104]Roadkilled[/member]. They are total scum/bast##ds and I hope you can recover or replace as soon as. It's nice to have the Festool app to record serial numbers and pictures for the police. However those that buy tools from dubious places are just as guilty. If they didn't have a market they couldn't sell them on. Is there any way those purchasing second hand Festool can do a check on their honesty just like the apps available when checking second hand cars? It's obvious that Festool is becoming more popular on site and all the vulnerability that entails. Making Festools harder to sell would help IMO

had the same happen to me before i bought festool. scum bags. fingers crossed you get the stuff back soon.

Hopefully the OP has some sort of coverage that softens the blow as well.

Just had a thought. I mentioned this on another thread. I wonder if you didn't get hit by some gypsies. My neighbourhood got hit hard last fall with up to 7 houses getting hit inna week right near each other.nthey hit us hard for about a month then moved on.mi don't know it the police caught them and they're in the nik now but they hit us hard then it sort of stopped. So either their in the nik or moved on.

If they moved on, chances are the tools already are fenced and you'll never find them.

Wish I had better news buddy.

But people are getting pretty messed up.m

My car got hit in a parking lot and the estimates are coming in at £3000 and I have a deductible of around £300. The jerk didn't leave a note saying he was sorry nothing.

I found it walking out to my car last Fri.
I hate those type people.
But I'm a firm believer in the law of reprocity so it will come back on them.mi won't know when or how but it will come back in them...

Same with your situation buddy.  I know that info won't really help you but it's all we got to hold on to at this time while we take it in the shorts.

Sorry to  hear about your problems. You might want to remove the post about the sys radio as you never know who is ready this thread. By the sounds of it this isn't just kids who will try and make a few quid on eBay or Gumtree but pros who will have more sense. Hope you get lucky and get them back.

Thanks everyone. Let's hope the saying is true and karma really is a bitch!!

It bugged me how they by passed the central locking and alarm as the van was open and alarm off when I found it and the central locking wouldn't work to lock it. I locked it with the key, left it for an hour then the central locking would work.

Found a couple of odd things today. Our door bell and outside deck light wouldn't work both work on remote conrol basis. Can they really buy a product that can send a signal to turn thing off in the area they're about to rob?!!

What van is it ? After reading earlier in the thread about transits being easy to get into , I did some googling. Purely out of curiosity as I don't drive a transit. I soon found that you can buy a special key that will open most transits. Surely things like this should be illegal.
