Thank you Seth.

I own a store that sells semi truck parts.  The chrome, LED lights, and stuff like that.  We are currently building a new store.  I am building all new store displays and shelving.  The ash is being used to build racks to hold bumpers.  I picked ash because it is relatively hard but cost is not too bad and available in my area.  I am building 4 of them and butting them together.

Glad you got it sorted.

Big beastly chromey truck parts would look real neat on a nice timber display shelf make sure to post pics so i can go "man i wish i could do that" [smile]

I will do that but I must admit that most of my stuff will be painted mdf display cases and rows of shelving that the timbers don't show as they are covered with slatwall and trimmed on the end with painted mdf.

I did build one cash register station out of cedar.  I didn't like the end result.  Too busy looking.  So, I built the other two out of MDF.  I'm not sure if I will even bring the cedar one out of storage.

Nice, it would be great to see some pics when they are finished.
