Storing or Transporting the MFT/3 with CMS-VL

For MFT/3 and CMS-VL users, how do you generally break down the set for storage or transport?

Can the CMS-VL be kept attached with the legs just folded down, such that the whole unit rests on the frame's rubber pads?

I'm more concerned of course about the VL's legs not fitting under the MFT or keeping the unit from lying flat on the ground.

I'm also concerned if the MFT to CMS connection is strong enough to be safely attached during transport.

I take them apart from each other. Don't think you could fold the VL's legs nicely under the MFT and you definitely cannot move the combination around - the connection isn't that sturdy. One can move the combo gently around on their feet by dragging, but they do flex in relation to each other i.e. don't lift one end.

I'm considering making a bench with casters in my garage workshop on which to put the MFT/VL when I'm not in portable mode.

I didn't plan on removing the MFT legs, it sounds like I would have to remove the CMS-VL legs though to stow it on the bench.  That might nudge me towards the CMS-GE instead.

Is there some way to store the VL while keeping it useful?
