Suction hose and kepex 120

Hello upgrading my 27mm mafell hose to a festool cleantec 36mm will this fit straight onto the kepex or do I need a reducer ? I assume by going to 36 mm I should get better extraction ?

It fits directly onto the Kapex nothing else required.

Yup, it slips right over the outlet port on the Kapex.
The 36 yields a bit better extraction on some of the tools that produce more/larger chips.

I’ve tried a shorter 36mm on my Kapex, but still a lot of the dust escapes the hose.. Then, I use mine most for mouldings, and the dust isn’t concentrated in the kerf, compared to straight cuts in thicker wood.

Oh that’s interesting I was doing a lot of half laps on it and there was a lot of dust so will give that a look !….
