I wanted you to know that I think that the Roadshow is a great program and should be expanded. My Festool dealer is great but they just don’t know your full product product line very well. They have one person that is very knowledgeable and beyond that, not so much. Your line is so extensive and some of your product lines contain so much specialization that I think the expertise of your people is needed to help Festool become all they can be in the US (or elsewhere). Programs like the Roadshow bring that expertise right to my backdoor and that is really important and effective. I met a lady with an accent (German I think) at the Houston roadshow. I told her of a complaint I had about my new ETS EC (my first Festool purchase) tipping over and in about two seconds she showed me how to hold that sander properly and I have been in love with it ever since. Even if it is not the Roadshow but more tool events held at dealer locations and run by FT experts, I think that would be very beneficial. Thank you for listening!

If you can, get into one of the end user classes in nv, nc or Indiana.
Great instructors and you learn all kinds of tips!

I agree with you 100% I attend the Ottawa roadshow last month for the first time and it was very interesting. The only tool that I was interested in is the VAC-SYS system. I was able to play with the system enough to make a decision. My shop have zero clamping capability so am currently saving for the 1870$ purchase  [scared]

The German lady or the sander  [eek]

@ Alanbach

End user class should really help you out. Anyone will do. but if you can get into a Essentials class it would hep you tremendously. Also if your local dealer has a festal demo day I suggest you go there and spend some time with the rep. The FT reps are really good about ansering your questions and showing you how to do things

Thanks guys! My local Woodcraft is one of two very large Festool dealers in Houston. I will ask the manager about these Festool classes. I know that if he does not know he will check into it for me.
