A close friend of mine is going to Germany in a few months. What suitcase-packable NAINA gear could I ask him to get for me?
I already have a Toolie thanks to SittingElf, other than that, let the suggestions flow!

We need to discuss the size of this suitcase [wink]

CMS TS modules are probably better than hard currency in the US [big grin]

pig tail, festool knife, clock, and remember the post office is your friend he could mail a CMS saw module back. But be aware festool will not warranty any NAINA tools in the US.

Yes, but how many warranty defects do you expect having in a slab of aluminium with a few screws & holes in it?  [tongue]

So...in a suitcase... here you go:

Toolies
Festool Swiss Army Knives
Festool Folding Measures
SDS Drill Bit sets
Carvex multiple Jigsaw Blade Sets (Still available in Germany)
Festool Clock

***Festool Centrotec Ratchet Set in Mini Systainer (Big demand in USA)  Get this as an ABSOLUTE. If you don't like it, you will find a crowd on FOG who will buy it from you! (I should have bought at least 10 more sets to ship back in our household goods, but I failed in my "duties"! [crying]

It is best if your friend knows where he plans to buy, and orders wanted products as soon as possible to insure they will be on hand when he arrives.

(Note: Festool will not sell 110V Pigtails in Germany. Trust me, I've tried! [sad])

All of the above will fit in a suitcase. Whoever is going has to pay 19% VAT for the items (Unless stationed by the military in Germany). The VAT can be refunded at the departure airport, but it is important to get there much earlier than normal show time due to often long lines at the refund counters. Must have the items and the sales receipts in hand at the office.

Good luck,

Frank
(Currently far from my Green Goodies in Nigeria [blink])

Thanks for the ideas and keep them coming...

For now I think I'm going with jigsaw blade sets and the drill bit sets that fit in an attic.

I don't want to worry about warranty stuff so I'm not looking to get CMS parts or actual tools.
