Support Harness for Planex

I purchased a Planex during the most recent recon sale and now ready to use for the first time.  The first job is removing popcorn from 8-1/2' ceilings and was wondering what anyone's feedback was that purchased the harness for this purpose.  Does it make a big difference in ease of use?
