I went to Frank Miller Lumber in Union City, IN today. It was my first time there. That place is awesome!! Great prices and a ton of selection including exoctics.

I needed a bunch of maple for a project coming up so it was a good excuse to go. Glad I did. If you ever close I recommend stopping there. Here are some pics of the place.

This load came from FML. Save me thousands on the projects.

The warehouse guys are nice to deal with also.

How far of a drive for you? For me its 9 hours round trip.

If you would not mind where in Ohio? (a PM if need be). I'm heading back too Cleveland to finish up a job there in a few weeks.

In your first photo my trailer was backed in right behind the fork lift, my bunk was in front of the pile by the pole.

Wow Tome that's great! Their pricing is very good. It was 3 times cheaper than getting crappy wood from the box. Its almost an hour one way for me. I am in Celina which is a little city in between Lima and Dayton. Will this be your last trip for that big hotel job?

Last 3 trips. I can't get 480 doors finished and in the trailer at one time.

I just looked at a map. FML is close for you. It takes me an hour each way to get to a "local" supplier with city traffic.

Tom

Holy crap! That's a lot of doors. Hopefully the job has been worth it. Will you do all the installation as well?

How far of a trip is this for you ?

Just shy of an hour one way. Not bad. My BF price was cheaper than or equal to quality plywood. At those prices I will be makimg more things out of solid wood.

Sweet trailer! Will you upfit it or leave it empty? You'll appreciate I am sending back the Freud ripping blade. They don't make a 2.2mm even though their website list that as the spec on their ripping blade.

That's the one I picked up in Elkhart. The E-track arrive today. I'll take the build out from there. Not sure what I will finally do to the interior.

Did you do the straight lining with the 48 tooth?

Thanks but three's no need to be. It's just another tool in the arsenal.

The Excursion caught my eye - Diesel - V10 or 5.4?

2000 7.3l PSD. 300k on it. Towed any of my equipment trailers very well.

It's sitting right now as the thread sealer cures on the pump side high pressure oil line fittings. One o-rings had a slight deterioration in it. Pumped out 4 quarts of oil in 70 miles. It will be ready to go when I get home from today's job.

Suspension and brakes are from an F-450.

Nice rig Tom- I love the diesel excursion - too bad they stopped making them in 05!

This one is staying in the family. Our youngest daughter learned to drive in it. At 15 with just a learner permit she drove it non stop 800 miles from Philly to home. Never once asked me for directions or help. She's told her brother and sister it's hers when I die.

All my children hated me when they learned to drive. Until they could back up a trailer I would not allow them to get their licenses. After they each moved a few times they understand why I made them learn.

Why don't you hit Johnson's in South Bend?  They run a truck back and forth from the Charlotte, MI once a week.

Any kind of lumber you could want along with almost any kind of sheet goods.

I'll have to look them up. Our youngest daughter lives in South Bend. Would be a good excuse to annoy her.
