hi all
ive got a nice bit of spare cash to buy a few systainers for my non festool tools, what sizes do you use most?

i need 2 sys4s for nail guns and caulk, then i was thinking sys2s are the best size? or is it worth getting a sys1 2 and 3.

I find the 4's the most useful size.

I did pick up a couple cheap 1's.  I have my kapex blades, crown stops, hold down bolts and blade cleaner in it.

I keep all my clamps in another sys1.

I keep all my trim guns in a Sys 4, with nails and such.

I'm not a big fan of the Sys 1. Have a few and use them but they end up being a bit too shallow for me. I like the 2's the most. Actually have to load up a couple of 3's for tomorrow. Nail guns, sawzall, etc. A 2,3 and 4 would all be good starts. The sys are so much more convenient than the factory Paslode, Bosch, whatever boxes. Load on top of the CT or festool dolly and away I go.
Take a look at a few of the Sys threads where guys have put thin ply partitions in their Sys to cordon off sections. Makes organizing very nice.
Good luck

I never take my tools on the road.  I'm thinking about selling all of my sytainers, 1's, 2's 3's and 4's.

Good Afternoon Wnagle,

Where do you live? Do you have price's in mind? I was looking for a place to stash my router bits.

It really depends on the size of the stuff you want to put in it. That's the beauty of systainers, you can get them in 5 different sizes so you can get one to fit any tool or kit you want to.  I agree with Holzhacker in that I'm not a fan of the sys 1 either. Just too shallow. And I'm not the type to put just one tool in one systainer. I mostly haul around a sys 4 or sys3 and sometimes a sys5 and just put everything in I need.

thanks for the replies

i think im aiming for 2x sys4 1xsys3 and 3x sys2 is that a good mix?

all my hand tools are in a stanley fatmax rolling workshop
