Hi!
About a year ago, two friends helped me (as in gifted me) partly pre-processed materials (sheet metal; thin whiteboard material) to make little magnetic plates that would fit the labeling compartment/area of the T-Loc Systainer.
Thank you very, very much to the two of you, if you ever read this here.
So why?
Tanos offers accessories that fit the labeling compartment/area:
->https://produktprogramm.tanos.de/en...ensils/T-Loc/Adaptor-set-ADAPT-L-2-parts.html
->https://produktprogramm.tanos.de/en...nsils/T-Loc/Set-of-fixation-rails-SYS-FS.html
->https://produktprogramm.tanos.de/en/systainer/Transport-utensils/T-Loc/Carrying-strap-SYS-TG.html
->https://produktprogramm.tanos.de/en/systainer/Transport-utensils/T-Loc/Additional-front-handle.html
These inspired and re-assured me, it could be done without causing damage/ to much stress on/to the labeling compartment/area.
A lot of tools, accessories, speakers, measuring equipment ... come equipped with magnets. Thats very handy - if you have something to stick them too.
So my idea was nothing more than having magnetic, metal plates on my Systainer.
Here are the two versions.
Left is made from sheet metal with "whiteboard" material/foil attached/glued to, for a streamlined look. Right one is from stainless sheet metal (non magnetic) with attached/glued to washer (magnetic)
Making the plates:
Both types put in Systainer.
Why the stainless sheet metal + washer type?
Some accessories don't fit the labeling area, so it's good to have the washer protruding.
If the accessory fits the labeling area, the other type is more streamlined/ more pleasing to the eye overall.
Last but not least, in use: (If you follow my other thread, you have seen these pictures before.
)
It's been a year now that I'm using these, and I'm very happy. I can attach lights, speaker, magnetic hangers (think multimeter and other measuring equipment) to my Systainer - whenever I need to. They have proven to be very useful and durable.
Additionally, the "whiteboard" type can be used for temporary labeling (non-permanent whiteboard marker) - or by using magnetic strips, which will not come off too easily, because they are seated recessed in the labeling compartment/area.
Maybe someone else finds this useful, fell free to copy my idea if you like it.
Kind regards,
Oliver
