Hello Festool, today I received my Sys-Roll (498 660). My question is in regard to the draw operation. The draw on my unit closes smoothly until it reaches 1.5" from full closure then the draw will not close unless I strike it with the palm of my hand. l removed the draw and inspected the guides and slides looking for a stop or boss that was part of the draw support. I could not find anything that would prevent smooth full closure. I cannot think of a reason that Festool would want the draw to be forced close by striking it. Please describe normal draw operation for the Sys-Roll
Thanks

On mine there is a "catch" for lack of a better word at the point you describe. I don't know the reason for it, if there is one. But it seems to be normal. I don't really need to smack it to close it, and can close it just with a push.

Edit: I have a hypothesis on the matter, maybe it's so that the drawer doesn't fly out and spill its contents if someone doesn't completely latch it. Just a thought. I did hit the two highest tabs on the back of the drawer with a file and it's more fluid now.
