I absolutely cannot wait for the sys roll cart to become available stateside but i thought about something while i was working in the City yesterday. I do alot of work in Philadelphia and most of the time i need to walk a few blocks to get to my van. Has anyone in europe came up with a solution for the CT-Midi & Systainers? If i could possibly make the trip from the van once to the worksite It would save a huge amount of time & money

Also how are all of you guys liking it? can you add another strap, from the videos it looks like you could add another one if you wished!

Seriously cannot wait for it to come to the US, Is it weird that im so excited over a cart?  [eek]  [big grin]

BTW: with all of my tools in systainers when im working in the high rises they let me up the main elevator, they dont make me use the service elevator which is a huge time saver!

I would more likely ask: IS there anybody at all who bought this thing yet?

Yes, you can. If not a Festool strap then most certainly one from a 3rd party. But a Festool one also.

Actually, yes, it is.  [smile]

My solution...don't work in the city! [tongue]

I like knowing that my tools will be in the van at the end of the day [big grin]

You know..... the Midi has wheels  ::)  [poke]  [bite tongue]

Ok,  if you roll it backwards it will handle the bumps better.

HAHA! i hate that hanging over my head, one day ill be working in philthidelphia and ide come out and my van be cleaned out. Fortunately with all of my systainers  95% of my tools are with me so I wouldn't be runined if some tweaker came buy and cleaned me out  [sad] Another thing i have against me is my van is lettered, when i had it done I wasnt doing much city work but i dont think ill have it lettered on my next van, 40% of my jobs are in phily  [scared]

Really, is that what those round things are on the bottom  [eek]  [tongue] Ive got to get over babying my festools, i find my self wiping my vacuum off after every job. Has anyone rolled it alot, especially on concrete and sidewalks? the wheels seem so small and fragile i feel like it would rattle the wheels off, then again with the sys roll i could hold the CT-Midi, not like its all that heavy

I tried out the midi on the sys-roll, the midi fits but I would either buy another Festool strap or use a bungee to secure the midi.

I don't like rolling mine about over rough ground, those wheels are weak looking ;D . I always carry it to the job then its ok to roll around then. I do have a fold up sack trolley so won't be bothering with the sys roll

EDIT. just saw daves post above the midi fits well

Thanks for posting that picture Dave! How come you have a sys roll, dealer testing?  [tongue] when can i order one???

From the videos online it looks bigger then that, the CT-midi takes up alot of real-estate  on there, but good to know that it can be done! i think i may just cary the CT as its not that heavy. How are you liking the cart, any drawbacks?

Well, I've rolled my Midi, stacked high with Systainers through my building's parking lot and to and from jobs over Chicago's sidewalks many times. No damage, no complaints.

I have my mini stacked w systainers 6.5 feet high but i wonder if it has a weight rating for the wheel set??

You can't overstate the advantage of these things for city/highrise work.
You can securely transport a huge tool capability very quickly, in the rain, through a midtown crowd, in one shot, eyes on all your tools the whole time.
Huge time savings, and everyone thinks you are a total pro, especially the client.
The systainers look so good, they don't even notice how disorganizied I might be.... :o
I also get the passenger elevator treatment!

I have never seen any figures, but based on my own experience you can easily put 400 lbs/180 kg on it.

I'm liking the cart. It really excels getting the tools in and out of the job site in one or two trips. My video overview will be done shortly.

Alex thanks, wow thats a lot of weight on that thing!
I'll stop worrying about putting 100 lbs (45 kilos?) on it!

Wouldn't be without my sys roll  ;D
It's become invaluable on site
I've got mine stacked with two sortainers(hand tools and screws) two systainer 3s(ti15 and t15 combi box and hilti SDS 36v cordless) and a systainer 2 (centrotec set and holesaws atc)it also carries my levels and two 1400 rails
