SYS-Storage Question

Hi all,

I just picked up a SYS-Storage and I really like it, except the fixed handle.  In the end it limits the boxes flexibility more than I thought.

I'm not a Systainer expert and could not find one, so I'll ask the community here.  Is there a systainer that retains the fold out wings of the Sys-Storage but has a foldable handle?

Thanks!

As for a flexible handle with fold out wings, I've not come across one.
I have seen some pics of someone that moved the handle to better fit their situation.

The SYS-Storage works well with the Tool Box 1 and Tool Box 2 to nest and work as top of the stack units.

Nearest you can get to a SYS-Storage but without a handle is a SYS-SORT/3.

You could build this...

The handle is fixed to retain stackability (a lower one nests into the negative space of the one above…). It’s a feature, not a fault.

Now that I have my hands on it, I can definitely see how it works and why it is the way it is.  For me, a folding handle works better as I will be storing these on shelves.

Probably need to just modify a Sys 3 to accept a lift out tray.

Wonder if they could make the toolbox have a folding handle that clicks into place vertically, similar to how the new Sys3's have handles that snap into the lid to prevent them from falling out when held by the side handle.

That's an interesting idea.  I'll have to take a closer look at it.

That is awesome, I wish I had more than two thumbs up to give it.  8)
Do you have a detail pic of how you attached the tloc knob?

I stole this idea from another member,( sorry I can’t give credit where credit is due) I had have good luck with cutting (dremel) the 18mm fingers out of the TLock knob and epoxying in a 1/4x20 bolt with a lock nut
